Untold stories
Self-curated Lindbergh's (see link) exhibition in Düsseldorf offers a rare insight into his remarkable creative method. He is known for intimate black and white portraits of models from the 90's, the exhibition is a eulogy to the man behind these iconic images. Featuring images of supermodels such as Claudia Schiffer, Karen Elson, and Milla Jovovich, showing at Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf, Germany.
It is work from about four decades and countless covers of magazines as Vogue. An accompanying catalog shows the curating of the exhibition. It is full of notes and gives insight into his creative method.
Lindbergh had free rein to select images from his archive, without any outside input. He was overwhelmed and thought the project would never finish. But it was through this method of working that he discovered a unique connection to his work — one that inspires us through his final project.
